Commissioned by Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and funded by NHS England, the development will modernise diagnostic services for patients across the region.
Designed by international architecture practice CPMG, the facility will house two state-of-the-art MRI scanners, replacing ageing equipment, including a temporary mobile unit, with space reserved for a third scanner to meet future demand.
For this project, the Swirlforce team used a full range of the latest Dulux products, including predominantly Sterishield Eggshell – A scrubbable antibacterial coating for interior walls and ceilings. This coating inhibits the growth of bacteria, such as E.coli and MRSA.
The Washable finish, which contains Silver Ion Technology, helps inhibit bacteria and offers a tough finish for interior use in high-traffic areas.
